桜の不時現象 (Untimely phenomenon of Cherry tree)
来春に芽吹く葉や咲く花の芽の分化は夏に始まるが目に見える状態ではなく、この写真のような「冬芽」と呼ばれる状態になるのは真冬で、夏の緑の葉と冬芽が同時に見られることはない。
平年であれば、桜の紅葉の始まりは１０月下旬（東京）、黄色から赤くなって冬に落葉する。晩夏に桜が葉を落とすのは、夏に受けたストレスを自らを切り捨てることによって解消（なので、黄色くてもいわゆる紅葉ではなく、黄変した葉が木自身を飾ることもない）、翌春の開花に備え体力を保持して花芽・葉芽を育てるためで、例年でもあることですが、今年見られるほどに多くはない。

確かに今春の桜の開花は早かったけど、それ以来桜の体内時計が狂い続けているとは考えにくく、やはり夏の異常気象の影響が一番大きかったのではないだろうか。
この先、今秋の紅葉はどうなるのか、異常に早く育っている「冬芽」がどうなるのか、要観察継続なのであります。

「不時現象」とは、
開花・落葉や鳥の渡り・虫の鳴き始めといった生物季節現象が平年と著しくかけ離れた季節に生じること

追伸：

トマト (Tomatos)
学名：Solanum lycopersicum
ナス科 Solanaceae ナス属 Solanum
学名の「リコペルシクム」は「狼の桃」という意味で、魔法使いが狼男に
変身するときに使った毒ナス(Deadly nightshade)に似ているところから
ヨーロッパで"Wolf peach"と呼ばれていたのが語源だそうです。
さてさて、抗酸化物質として有名なリコピン(リコペン, Lycopene)の語源は
この「リコペルシクム」なわけで(たぶん)、だとすれば、
「風が吹けば桶屋が儲かる」式に申せば、「トマトが 赤くなると医者が青くなる」
のではなく「トマトが赤くなれば毛が生える」わけですｗ

あの日 (That day)
ごくたまに、唐突に、決まって思い出すシーンがある。
と同時に心臓のあたりが締め付けられるように苦しくなる。
そしてその発作が治まるとどんな場面だったか全く思い出せない。
数日前のそれはかつてないほど酷いものだった。
今はまだ死にたくないと思うほど苦しくて、視界の大部分が真っ白だった。
激しく白飛びの、ちょうどこの写真の末枯れ紫陽花のように。

これは心象であると同時に、あの日あの時の再現でもある。
たまにはこんな風に思い切ったレタッチも嫌いじゃないｗ

この地域では黄色いヘメロカリスを植えているお宅が多かったです。
あっ、さっきの鉢植えですが、もう世話をする人がいないので、
お盆休みにもらってこようと思っています。

花弁の縁のフリルが特徴。
ニッコウキスゲ の園芸品種だが、正確なところは不明につき、
単にヘメロカリス（属名・流通名）としておく。

Secret of Dendrobium phalaenopsis
ラン科 Orchidaceae セッコク属 Dendrobium
「デンドロビウム・ファレノプシス系」、通称デンファレの蕊柱 (Column)。
蕊柱に被さるように上側にあるのが唇弁 (Lip)、
さらにその外側(写真上部)が側萼片 (Lateral Sepal)、左右が側弁 (Petal)。
つまり、よく見る写真とは上下逆に撮っちゃった、ってわけよｗ
