学名: Melia azedarach）
センダン科 Meliaceae センダン属 Melia

父はこれを「センダ」と呼び、「センダン」ではないと言う。
白檀をセンダンと呼ぶ場合があるのでそれと区別していると思われる。
樹齢数百年の古木。この写真↓の背景の木。
