筆柿(Fude-gaki, One of the species of "Kaki Persimmon")
カキノキ科 Ebenaceae カキノキ属 Diospyros
確か、この柿の木がある裏庭のもう一つ向こう側に
背の低い垣に囲まれたお花畑があった。
ここはおばあちゃんが大事にしているところだけど
内緒で特別に入っていいよ、と母に言われた気がする。
その後、ひとりで一度だけこっそり入ってみた。
何の花が咲いていたのだろう、幼き日の秘密の花園。

センダン (栴檀) の未熟果
学名: Melia azedarach）
センダン科 Meliaceae センダン属 Melia

父はこれを「センダ」と呼び、「センダン」ではないと言う。
白檀をセンダンと呼ぶ場合があるのでそれと区別していると思われる。
樹齢数百年の古木。この写真↓の背景の木。
